Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic works directly with the Nervous System to establish proper communication between your brain and your body. When the Nervous System is compromised the body and all of its organs, muscles and cells receive improper messages.  In order to better understand this process, imagine the communication breakdown that occurs on a cell phone when signals are weak.  We may be able to hear the other person speaking, but their messages are often unclear.  A similar analogy occurs in our bodies, as unnecessary stress on the Nervous System results in chronic disease, pain, discomfort, fatigue, poor posturing, emotional imbalances, and a weakened immune system.  When the body can no longer adapt to these stresses, many people turn to their doctors for answers.

Solutions to the cell phone example may include the following three options:  1)  Trade in your old cell phone for a new one  (i.e. surgically remove a diseased organ, arthritic knee, etc.)  2)  Boost the weak signal with an antennae of sorts  (i.e. take a drug to mask the symptoms or 3)  Determine and remove the underlying cause of the signal interference (other electronic devics), so that a strong and clear connection can be restored.

According to the Journal of American Medical Association, each year over 104,000 people die in the US due to the adverse reaction of properly prescribed drugs at the proper dose.  To shed light on these shocking statistics, the Vietnam War, in its entirety, cost approximately 55,000 lives.  This fact alone far too great a risk not consider natural approaches to health, when appropriate.

What makes the chiropractic approach unique is that it does not attempt to mask your symptoms, rather, it aims to address the root cause, while acting as a catalyst to the body's ability to heal naturally.  Gentle chiropractic adjustments can restore your internal brain/body dialogue so that you are free to experience optimal physical, mental, and emotional well-being.  One must never underestimate the power of the Nervous System to heal and restore peak performance.  For example, Dr. Kelly had the pleasure of treating a wheelchair bound veteran whose results were astounding!  Following his initial adjustment, he was walking with a walker, following his second adjustment he was using a cane and by adjustment number three he was walking unassisted and doing some yardwork!  This reaffirms Dr. Kelly's belief that the body is a self-regulating organism, able to heal itself naturally if given the oppportunity to express its inate intelligence.  Additionally, chiropractic is currently the largest alternative based healing practice in the U.S., and is frequently being used for pre-natal and pediatric care. Chiropractic is safer than back surgery, taking aspirin, or flying in a commercial jet.
